In this high-impact leadership role, you will own full P&L accountability for service delivery, customer satisfaction, retention, and financial performance, driving operational excellence that keeps fleets rolling efficiently and reliably.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistent KPI and SLA performance across day-to-day service levels, communication, system updates, customer experience, quality, and compliance.
  • Manage the full segment Profit & Loss (P&L) with complete accountability for delivering Field Operating Profit that meets or exceeds Board-approved budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Drive segment profitability through rigorous financial oversight, cost management, and resource optimization to achieve or surpass annual profitability goals.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing leadership team while serving as a talent multiplier who develops future leaders and fosters a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Design, launch, and continuously optimize tailored service delivery programs for segment accounts while balancing short-term execution with long-term scalability, cost efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Lead end-to-end lifecycle of multi-million-dollar, cross-functional initiatives from scoping through execution and measurable value realization.
  • Act as the executive escalation point and trusted advisor to C-suite and VP-level client stakeholders.
  • Lead customer business reviews with polished, data-driven presentations that diagnose performance, celebrate wins, and secure expansion opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and convert expansion opportunities within existing accounts by partnering closely with Sales to drive additional revenue.
  • Drive root-cause analysis on service failures and implement preventive, scalable solutions that deliver lasting improvements.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, and HR to align priorities, optimize resources, and drive segment-wide results.
  • Monitor internal operational metrics and ensure alignment with targets set by executive leadership.
  • Proactively partner with key client contacts to build and maintain strong, long-term business relationships.
  • Develop the operational talent pool by optimizing existing team capabilities in partnership with EHS, Safety, and Training departments.
  • Attend executive-level meetings and deliver clear, insightful reporting on segment performance.
  • Identify and implement operational best practices across all teams to drive efficiency and superior results.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities within the segment and prepare executive-level recommendations on which initiatives to pursue.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive program/project management experience in fleet maintenance, logistics, transportation, or field services.
  • 10+ years directly managing managers and leading teams of 8-10 direct reports and 100+ indirect reports.
  • Demonstrated success owning customer relationships and P&L for accounts >$50M annual revenue.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills. Able to simplify complexity and tell compelling stories with data.
  • Willingness to travel 25-30%.

 

Strongly Preferred

  • MBA or Master’s degree, MBA preferred.
  • Direct experience managing mid-to-large, dedicated fleet contracts.
