Drexel University fulfills its founder's vision of preparing each new generation of students for productive professional and civic lives while also focusing the University's collective expertise on solving society's greatest problems. Drexel is an academically comprehensive and globally engaged urban research university, dedicated to advancing knowledge and society and to providing every student with a valuable, rigorous, experiential, technology-infused education, enriched by the nation's premier cooperative education program.

The Dana and David Dornsife School of Public Health was founded on the principle of health as a human right and the recognition of the importance of social justice as a means to achieve health for all. The Graduate School of Public Health is ranked 19th in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, and we are proud to be ranked first in the City of Philadelphia. As part of a top-tier comprehensive research university, students benefit from specialized research centers and cross-disciplinary collaborations within the University, the City of Philadelphia and throughout the world.

Multiple courses may be available for Academic Year 2025-2026 in the Department of Community Health & Prevention including courses in behavior and social change theories, community theory and health practice, health communication, measuring health outcomes, outcomes and impact evaluation, global health, public health ethics, and history of public health. These courses have been taught previously, so previously used syllabi and course materials are available. Courses that enroll 30 or more will usually have a teaching assistant. Some courses are online and asynchronous, others are in-person on Drexel’s University City campus.

The School of Public Health is on the quarter system and each course is ten weeks long, with three hours of instruction per week. The full calendar can be viewed at  https://drexel.edu/provost/policies-calendars/academic-calendars/quarters-2022-2024/
