The Critical Access Hosp, Rural Hlth Clinic, Work Comp & TPL Training Specialist is proficient in all responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Insurance Specialist 3, including extensive knowledge of Critical Access, Method II, Provider Based Billing (PBB) and Rural Health billing rules and regulations. Plays a critical role in supporting the Hospital's revenue cycle by developing and delivering training programs for the Critical Access Hosp, Rural Hlth Clinic, Work Comp & TPL team. Ensures that team members are well-versed in policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices for insurance payer/vendor communication and account resolution. This position collaborates with leadership to improve performance and maintain compliance across team operations. Assists with training staff and creating training materials and process flows.

Responsibilities

Must be able to perform essential job functions of Account Receivable Insurance Specialist 3.Design and implement onboarding and ongoing training programs for Critical Access Hosp, Rural Hlth Clinic, Work Comp & TPL staff.Conduct training sessions on compliance, denial analysis, payor rules, provider portals/trackers/websites, system navigation.Collaborate with leadership to identify performance gaps and develop targeted training solutions.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.Maintain up-to-date training materials, manuals, and documentation aligned with policy changes and system updates.Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for accounts receivable processes, such as billing/denials/follow-up and credit balances for traditional Medicare.Provide one-on-one coaching and support for team members as needed.Assist in the development of quality assurance standards and participate in audits to ensure compliance.Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in managing an accounts receivable portfolio and training.Hold group training sessions for continued learning.Participate in vendor meetings as needed and assist Lead with projects and data pulling.Supports Lead, Supervisor and Manager by interpreting and analyzing financial data to identify and monitor performance and establish benchmarks for the department.Enter adjustments on accounts; reviews and approves adjustments entered by Accounts Receivable Insurance Specialist 1, Accounts Receivable Insurance Specialist 2, and Accounts Receivable Insurance Specialist 3.

Possesses the “other knowledge and skills” of the Accounts Receivable Insurance Specialist 3.  Acts as a subject matter specialist on the Critical Access Hosp, Rural Hlth Clinic, Work Comp & TPL team and aids the Lead in training the team.

The compensation range for this position is $19.74per hour - $31.98per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
