• →Must have exceptional patient interaction skills and have the ability to work in a child friendly environment.
• →Plan, implement, and evaluate preoperative, intraoperative, and recovery nursing care for pediatric patients based on individual and specific patient needs.
• →Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of medication administration and effects, patient assessment, arrhythmia detection, patient teaching, emotional/social support of patients and families and other needed clinical competencies.
• →Assist in completing medical assessments for patients scheduled for surgery in the next week and also assisting in completing required documents and assessments of medical pending for potential patients.
• →Complete all narcotic counts, code cart checks, temperature and humidity logs and medication refrigerator temperature logs on a daily basis. 
• →See or call 100% of scheduled surgical patients prior to the day of surgery to identify preexisting conditions and to tell patients what to expect.
• →Contact patients to complete post-operative calls in between patient care.
• →Follow AORN standards for care of the perioperative patient.
• →All other duties as deemed appropriate

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state in which you are working.
• Basic life support required upon hire. Advanced life support and PALS are required within 6 months of hire
• Must be available to travel between locations to meet operational needs

Schedule: Monday-Friday rotating shifts: 0630-1500 or 0730-1600. 

Compensation: $41 - $41/hour
