You’re the first hello, the friendly face, and the person who sets the tone for the entire Arlo experience. If you know how to make people feel welcome, keep your cool when the restaurant gets busy, and can turn “Welcome in!” into a genuine experience, we’d love to meet you.

Arlo, the signature restaurant at Town and Country Resort, brings a fresh San Diego energy to the table. We’re looking for a Host / Greeter who knows that great hospitality starts before the first drink is poured or the first plate hits the table.

 

Responsibilities

  • →Welcome every guest with a warm, genuine, and professional greeting.
  • →Manage the flow of guests entering the restaurant while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • →Manage reservations, waitlists, seating assignments, and guest inquiries.
  • →Escort guests to their tables and provide menus and information as needed.
  • →Communicate closely with servers, managers, and the culinary team to keep service running smoothly.
  • →Monitor table availability and help balance seating throughout the restaurant.
  • →Answer phones and assist guests with questions about the restaurant, menu, reservations, and resort.
  • →Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand.
  • →Recognize returning guests and create memorable moments whenever possible.
  • →Handle guest concerns with professionalism and know when to involve a manager.
  • →Support the restaurant team wherever needed—because great hospitality is a team sport.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and making people feel welcome.
  • A friendly, confident, and professional personality.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to stay composed and welcoming during busy periods.
  • Previous restaurant, hotel, or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using reservation and point-of-sale systems or willing to learn.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A team-first attitude and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
