  • Demonstrates competency through performance checklists in all clinical and administrative areas within 60 days of hire
  • Attends mandatory staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other meetings as assigned
  • Maintains a clean, safe therapeutic environment
  • Seeks the best use of materials, equipment, and staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Effectively uses time management to manage work assignments
  • May be required to work before or after hours
  • Coordinates learning sessions, schedules, and tracking systems for ABA employees including new hire orientation, First Aid/CPR, CMT, RBT certifications, and other mandatory training
  • Provides immediate feedback to ABA therapists following observation and completion of performance checklists
  • Remains available and approachable to ABA therapists for questions, concerns, or ideas regarding client programming or behavior intervention
  • Responds to a crisis appropriately and assists others as necessary
  • Actively participates in data collection and the use of data to improve outcomes, practices, and service delivery
  • Meets regularly with ABA Learning and Development Director
  • Performs RBT competency assessment for new hires within a designated period and follows guidelines outlined
  • Designs, plans, and implements learning and development programs to drive organization improvement
  • Develops teaching outlines and instructional methods for individual and group learning opportunities
  • Conducts training sessions for internal stakeholders, such as New Hire Orientation, CMT, certifications, etc
  • Demonstrates ownership of the training process including full accountability to meet department training goals and creating a positive learner experience through managing the training schedule, content, interactions, and outcomes
  • Collaborates with the ABA Learning and Development Director and subject matter experts to develop and implement projects/training activities to promote clinical and administrative expertise within Damar ABA and within the industry
  • Delivers synchronous and asynchronous learning events using varied media in virtual and local environments
  • Maintains relationships with Damar’s program management teams to serve as a business partner and proactively address learning needs
  • Provides training to non-RBTs until they pass the RBT exam-a minimum of 4 hours a week until they pass their competency
  • Leads RBT study group and exam prep when needed
  • Utilizes the LMS as instructed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, education, adult learning, human services preferred
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in education or mentoring preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Software (LMS) preferred
  • Must have or be able to obtain Critical Moment Training (CMT) Trainer Certification within 6 months of start date
  • Must have Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
  • Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
