Job Title: Part-time Engineer - (ICCB – Bethesda)

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday; 9pm – 5am

 

EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Part-time Engineer at ICCB in Bethesda, MD.

 

This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

· Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance during his/her watch of all equipment in his/her plant.

· Operates and maintains one or more systems which provide the facility with such services as heat, air-conditioning, refrigeration, steam or high temperature water or electricity.

· Observing and interpreting readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspects of the system’s operation, adjusting controls to ensure safe and efficient operating of the system and to meet the demands for the service provided.

· Record various aspects of the system’s operation in the logs.

· Keep the engines, machinery and equipment of the system in good working order.

· May direct and coordinate activities of other workers in performing tasks directly related to operating and maintaining the system or systems.

· Must have a 1st Class Engineers License.

· Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Fullscope Poly

· Experience & proven ability to safely secure hydronic and electrical systems for maintenance.

· Experience & proven ability to Braze/Solder copper pie, thread black pipe. Basic carpentry skills.

· Must be skilled in the repair of electronic control equipment, workers in establishments producing electricity, steam or heated or cooled air primarily for sale; and Boiler Tenders

•    Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs / push up to 100 lbs)

•    Prolong, extensive or considerable standing/walking.

•    Push/pull or move/lift equipment.supplies.parts.

•    Manual dexterity and mobility

•    Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
