Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Plan, direct, and coordinate on-site mechanical and electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements, and codes
- →Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems
- →Provide directions during functional performance testing of all mechanical and electrical systems
- →Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical RFI’s and shop drawings and administrate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements
- →Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors
- →Report accurate quantities for labour cost reports and accurately monitor material ledgers to ensure quantities in estimate are sufficient to complete the project
- →Find solutions to conflicts in structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications and follow-up with consultants and sub-trades to completion
- →Ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instruction
- →Review scope for early procurement items
- →Responsible of M&E subcontractor cost and tracking and deviations from initial contract
- →Commissioning of the equipment’s and hand over
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related discipline
- Engineer in Training (EIT) required; Professional Engineering License (PE/PENG) preferred.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in heavy civil projects or bridges structures
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Knowledge with MS Project is required
- Knowledge of SketchUp is recommended
- Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
- Ability to analyze data
- Strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills
- Collaborative attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail
