This is a working supervisor position overseeing the Safety, Manufacturing, Shipping, and Inventory of the Cat Litter operation.

Responsibilities

→Unloads raw materials from railcars as needed
→Create and plan a production schedule
→Supervises 1st shift Cat Litter team
→Implement / suggest process improvements
→Planning and staging all required supplies and raw materials on time as to not slow production
→Must maintain a safe industrial work culture, able to enforce all applicable safety requirements
→Held accountable for the well-being of team members and the care of equipment
→Implementation of all associated Operational Excellence goals with the packaging area
→Ensure highest level of product quality
→Ensuring inventory process is followed and Kanban maintained
→Other duties as assigned

→Ability to perform normal work activities, sight, hearing and walking
→Can effectively take on responsibilities of supervisor as required (vacations, absences, and emergencies)
→Ability to work with minimal guidance/ supervision
→Ability to climb ladders and stairs
→Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
→Mechanically inclined
→Self-Motivated
→Computer skills such as outlook and Microsoft Excel and Word
→Continuous education as deemed necessary by the company

Operational level understanding of the OE principles and tools
Open to change and helps to encourage and advance continuous improvement
Generates ideas to improve processes and safety

Education: High diploma/GED required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Forklift experience, knowledge of lean principles, previous experience supervising a team. Basic computer knowledge. Must be able to speak, read, write, understand English language.

Travel: N/A

Working Conditions: Varies dependent upon season, dusty.

Safety Training: Will complete annual safety training as well as well other job required safety training
