As a Nursing Scheduler, you are a key contributor to quality of care, resident well-being, regulatory compliance and the culture of our facility. Your efforts help create an environment where our nursing staff can thrive while delivering high-quality care.

• →Ensure the facility is optimally staffed 7 days per week - 24 hours per day
• →Develop and maintain nursing staff schedules considering workload, qualifications, regulation compliance and staff preferences
• →Collaborate with the nursing leaders to optimize staffing make up and budget impact including full-time, part-time and per diem resources
• →Handle scheduling conflicts, last-minute adjustments, and replacements as needed
• →Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, PTO, vacations, and schedule changes
• →Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding schedules and changes
• →Manage overtime and agency expense to acheive overall budget targets

• Experience as a scheduler in a Healthcare or Long-Term Care setting is extremely valued
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong organizational, administrative and time-management skills
• Ability to handle dynamic scheduling needs and adapt to last-minute changes
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a fast-paced, multidiscilinary team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and the ability to relate tactfully and professionally with all staff
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant and to remain calm during emergency situations
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
