Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead the design and development of embedded control systems and power delivery architectures for next-generation NeuroStar® products.
- →Drive electrical design activities from concept through production, including circuit design, simulation, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
- →Partner with cross-functional teams, EMC labs, and manufacturing partners to ensure product performance, reliability, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- →Support product enhancements, sustaining engineering efforts, and root cause investigations for existing products.
- →Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members while promoting engineering best practices and design standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of product development experience
- Strong background in analog and digital circuit design, simulation and design tools, microcontroller-based systems, embedded development, and power electronics (MOSFETs, IGBTs)
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and solve challenging engineering problems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience with medical device product development and compliance with IEC 60601-1 safety standards.
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI compliance testing, switched-mode power supplies (SMPS), pulsed power systems, and electronic ballast design.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, reliability engineering methodologies, and design-for-quality best practices.
This position combines engineering design work with hands-on laboratory testing and prototype development. The role is primarily desk-based (50-75%) with occasional travel and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
