The Operating Room Circulator RN provides high-quality nursing care to patients throughout the surgical process while helping maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with the surgical team.
Responsibilities include preparing the OR, verifying patient and procedure information, coordinating supplies and equipment, completing required documentation, and working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to support safe, efficient patient care.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Prepare the operating room, ensure the cleanliness of the environment, and confirm that all required equipment is functioning properly
- →Assist in preparing the patient for surgery, which may involve verifying the patient's identity and surgical site, helping to position the patient on the operating table, and ensuring that all necessary pre-operative procedures are completed
- →Document pertinent information before, during, and after the surgical procedure, such as the patient's vital signs, medications administered, and any other relevant details for the patient's medical record
- →Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensure that all team members follow proper procedures for handling instruments and equipment

Requirements
~1 min read- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
- Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
