A structured Server role is critical to serve prepared foods and drinks to casino guests. The server will typically will spend the most time with guests during their stay at the casino.
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Server will be responsible for collecting food and drink orders from guests. This will include collecting special dining requests they may have. They will also assist guests to choose selections they would enjoy and answer questions regarding allergy alerts. He/she will bill and collect cash after meals from guests.
Responsibilities

- →Stock the service area with supplies (e.g. coffee, glassware).
- →Greet customers, present menus and/or help customers to select menu items.
- →Inform customers about daily specials.
- →Record orders and place them with the kitchen and bar.
- →Pick up and serve orders.
- →Check that customers are enjoying their meals and correct any problems.
- →Suggest and serve desserts and beverages.
- →Clean and re-set tables.
- →Tabulate and present bills for payment.
- →To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.

Requirements

- AGLC – Proserve/Protect preferred
- Mathematic Skills: Basic math may be needed to verify cash receipts.
- Customer Service Skills: Servers need proper customer service skills as they have a lot of interaction with guests and must deal with a number of special requests.
- Physical Coordination: The server must have the ability to move food trays effectively across the restaurant floor. Trays loaded with food may be as heavy as 15lbs.
- Communication Skills: Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are important for the server to communicate effectively to guests, kitchen staff, and food and beverage helpers.
- Able to work as a part of a team.
- Able to work with little supervision.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
. The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work days, late nights, overnights, weekends and holidays.
