Diesel Technician/Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic with a minimum of two years experience on Class 8 trucks to join our team and help maintain the safety and reliability of our fleet and equipment during the night shift.  This position requires a self-motivated individual who is a team player, with a strong willingness to learn new skills and contribute positively to the team’s success.

What You Will Do

• → Inspect and repair basic engine components.
• → Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues.
• → Change tires, make brake adjustments, and fix lights.
• → Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• → Maintain complete and accurate maintenance documentation.
• → Operate forklift and drive truck and trailer when necessary.
• → Follow good housekeeping standards in all areas of work.
• → Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• → Make recommendations for process system improvements.
• → Adhere to industrial safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
• → Complete all other tasks as assigned.

What We Look For

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as Class 8 transport mechanic or a related field.
• General knowledge of DOT truck maintenance requirements.
• Clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more consistently.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
• A dedicated team player who contributes to the overall success of the organization.

Nice To Have:

• Class A Commercial Driver License

• Typical work schedule is Sunday - Thursday from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
