Finishing Mill Shift Mechanical Technician 

• →Rotating shift work including nights and weekends. 
• →Welding, cutting and fabrication 
• →Maintain all mechanical systems related to the rolling process
• →Troubleshoot and repair of high-pressure hydraulic systems 
• →Rigging, crane and mobile equipment operation
• →Read and interpret blueprints and piping diagrams
• →Work with operations and maintenance groups to ensure continued production 
• →Work wtih computer-based maintenance systems

• Safety oriented 
• High School diploma or equivalent 
• Prior mechanical maintenance experience in some or all of the following areas:  welding & fabrication, industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, manual & automatic lubrication systems, water systems, pipe fittings, rigging, bearing & coupling replacement, ability to read prints & schematics 
• Strong willingness to learn
• Understanding of mathematics (geometry, trigonometry)
• Willingness to work scheduled and non-scheduled overtime
• Strong teamwork focus 
• Ability to work without direct supervision 
• Ability to multi-task & prioritize work assisgnments with production needs 
• At least 2 years of Mechanical Maintenance experience
