Responsibilities
~1 min readThe Housekeeper's role is to ensure that our building complex is well maintained throughout the day. This includes tasks such as maintaining the restrooms, upkeep of common areas, cleaning the kitchen and dining areas and other tasks on an as-needed basis.
The property includes multiple buildings, an outdoor pool area, sporting fields and a fire pit. It is used for retreat-like experiences all summer long and intermittently throughout the year.
- →Follow the cleaning schedule for each day to ensure that all areas are maintained throughout the day.
- →Remove trash/recycling.
- →Ensure that there are supplies in restrooms or other areas, informing a supervisor when supplies are low.
- →Light cooking and food preperation.
- →Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for all.
- →Develop programming, order supplies, communicate with facilitators and management.
- →Perform related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- →Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- →Other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Prior experience working with persons with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Must be authorized to work within the United States.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly.
CARES (Community Assistance Resources and Extended Services, Inc.) is to assist children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (ID/DD) and/or mental health conditions and their families, in particular, from under-served multilingual communities, access information, obtain resources and services.
