Principal Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities: 

• Manages the technical deliverables of complex project with significant scope and complexity
• Work cross-functionally with the organization to effectively introduce and support the chillers through their life cycle.
• Confirm product performance, capability and reliability utilizing system modeling and applicable test methodologies.
• Provide technical support for activities including quality escapes, non-conformances, turnbacks, and production disruptions.
• Defines and documents product standards for the engineering team to follow in product development
• Mentors and coaches less experienced engineers to ensure product changes adhere to design standards, documented, validated, and released in accordance with company processes.
• Travel up to 10%.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering and 10+ years of professional systems engineering experience 
• 5+ years of experience leading Engineering projects 

OR

• Master’s degree Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering and 8+ years of professional systems engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience leading Engineering projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a new product development, service and/or aftermarket space
• Demonstrated experience providing ongoing support for new products after launch

• HVAC industry experience
• Six Sigma Certification

• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated expertise in requirements management, interface control and system validation.
• Strong analytical skills, including modeling, data analysis and performance testing.
• Experience leading resolution of highly complex, cross-disciplinary technical problems.
• Working knowledge of applicable product performance and safety standards.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction and mentor senior engineers.
