Job Title: Full Stack Developer I

Responsibilities

AI and Automation 

  • →AI/ML Enablement: Explore, evaluate, and apply AI and machine learning tools and APIs (e.g., prompting, model integration, intelligent automation) to improve workflows and decision-making
  • →Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts and applications in Python to support data pipelines, integrations, and automation of manual processes
  • →Power Automate Flows: Build and maintain Power Automate flows to streamline approvals, notifications, and cross-system data movement, reducing manual, repetitive work

Data and Application Development 

  • →SQL Development: Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, reporting, integration, and troubleshooting
  • →Application Development: Design and develop mobile and desktop applications to meet specific business needs, following secure coding and software development best practices 
  • →Cross-System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data quality, system design, and integration between Power Platform solutions and core business systems (e.g., ERP/D365 FandO)

Collaboration and Documentation 

  • →Requirements Gathering: Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear technical specifications and solution designs
  • →Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of applications, flows, data sources, and configuration standards to support maintainability and knowledge transfer
  • →Emerging Technologies: Stay current with developments in AI, low-code platforms, and development tools to recommend improvements that keep Carter's toolset modern and effective
  • →Work in coordination with the team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals and objectives
  • →Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with data-driven development and business process automation preferred
  • Prior internship or professional experience in a data, development, or Power Platform role preferred
  • Must currently reside in the US and be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Experience working within a compliance-regulated environment (e.g., CMMC, NIST 800-171) preferred
  • Solid software development fundamentals: writing clean, maintainable code and understanding how an application is structured, demonstrated through coursework, internships, or personal projects  
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and the software development lifecycle: branching, code review, testing, and moving work from requirement to release
  • Familiarity with AI development tools like Claude Code or Codex and concepts (e.g. prompting, APIs, machine learning basics) and interest in applying them to business problems
  • Experience with SQL, including querying, joins, and basic performance optimization
  • Experience with Python for scripting and data manipulation
  • Experience developing mobile and/or desktop applications
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into clear technical documentation
  • Must be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of translating analytical insight into practical solutions
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize shifting demands, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Self-directed with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively both independently and in team settings
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical information to non-technical users

Actual base pay may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, education, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
