As Legal Counsel, you'll collaborate with business partners across the organization to provide practical, business-focused legal guidance while helping Casey's manage risk and maintain compliance.

In this role, you will:

Provide legal analysis, recommendations, and counsel on a wide range of business matters.
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop, interpret, and implement policies, processes, and practices that align with legal requirements and business objectives.
Help monitor compliance initiatives and support risk mitigation efforts across the company.
Build strong relationships with internal clients and serve as a trusted legal business partner.
Lead and support regulatory compliance efforts involving highly regulated products, including alcohol, tobacco, and private-label consumer goods.
Represent Casey's before administrative and regulatory agencies.
Collaborate effectively with outside counsel to achieve positive business outcomes.
Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects as Casey's continues its growth journey.

Compensation: Starting pay range:‏‏‎ $120,000 - $145,000. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance and an annual equity grant in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
Strong legal research, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
A practical, business-minded approach to legal counseling.
Ability to balance legal requirements with operational and commercial objectives.
Experience with multi-jurisdictional compliance is strongly preferred.
Prior retail, hospitality, and/ or regulatory experience preferred.
