Systems Engineer, Risk Mitigation with SIGINT- Senior

• →Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies across SIGINT system lifecycles (design, integration, deployment, sustainment)
• →Perform end-to-end systems engineering activities, including requirements analysis, architecture development, and system validation
• →Analyze SIGINT system performance, vulnerabilities, and operational risks, recommending actionable mitigation strategies
• →Develop and maintain risk registers, mitigation plans, and technical documentation
• →Collaborate with mission stakeholders, operators, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure risk-informed decision-making
• →Support system integration and interoperability across multi-domain and distributed SIGINT architectures
• →Ensure compliance with IC standards, cybersecurity frameworks, and mission assurance requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (Master’s preferred)
• 8–12+ years of systems engineering experience, with significant exposure to IC or DoD environments
• Proven expertise in risk management frameworks (e.g., risk registers, FMEA, mission assurance methodologies)
• Strong understanding of:
  • Systems engineering lifecycle (SELC)
  • Distributed systems and system-of-systems architectures
  • Cybersecurity principles within classified environments
• Ability to translate complex technical risks into clear, mission-relevant impacts
• Ability to understand SIGINT intel and how to provide intel analysis reports of specified locations
• Must understand collection systems; technical and non-technical

• DoD or IC experience
• Knowledge or experience with SSA (space situational awareness) preferred
• Knowledge or experience with SCS (space counter-space) preferred

• Onsite in Chantilly, VA and Reston, VA (time split between locations as needed)

• Minimal travel
