Role Overview
The Employment Specialist - Part Time supports individuals in reaching employment goals by providing guidance, coordinating resources, tracking progress, and building community partnerships to improve program outcomes.
 

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify participant strengths, employment goals, barriers, and service needs. Provide ongoing employment-focused coaching, guidance, resource coordination, and support to help participants achieve employment and self-sufficiency goals. Coordinate access to internal and external supportive services that address barriers to employment and promote successful outcomes. Maintain accurate participant records, service documentation, and employment outcome data in accordance with organizational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor participant progress toward employment goals, identify opportunities for improved outcomes, and implement appropriate interventions and support strategies. Contribute to departmental performance objectives by meeting service delivery standards, documentation requirements, and employment outcome targets. Identify and recommend workflow improvements that enhance participant experience, service effectiveness, and program efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with employers, community organizations, training providers, and supportive service agencies to expand participant opportunities and resources. Represent CCAC professionally when engaging with participants, referral sources, community partners, and external stakeholders. Conduct community-based outreach and engagement activities, including attending job fairs, employer meetings, partner events, and participant meetings at community locations, which requires frequent local travel throughout the service area.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional teams to coordinate services, address participant needs, and support successful employment outcomes. Communicate effectively with program staff, leadership, and support departments to ensure continuity of services and achievement of shared goals.
  • Engage in ongoing learning, training, and skill development, seeking and applying feedback to continuously improve performance and contribute to team and organizational success.

PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day
  • Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs

Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum
  • Associate's Degree (AA) in related field of study 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in related field of study 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of workforce development and trauma-informed practices.
