Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic VPK Teacher to provide high-quality instruction in a structured, nurturing classroom Catholic environment. The VPK Teacher is responsible for implementing the VPK curriculum to support school readiness in literacy, math, social-emotional development, and early learning skills in alignment with state standards.

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with VPK standards

Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment

Support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- →
Maintain accurate documentation, assessments, and attendance as required by VPK guidelines
- →
Conduct and track child assessments (such as readiness or progress monitoring tools)
- →
Establish and maintain effective communication with parents and guardians
- →
Supervise children at all times, including during classroom activities, meals, and outdoor play
- →
Collaborate with teaching assistants and administrative staff
- →
Follow all licensing, safety, and VPK program requirements
Requirements

Knowledge of CLASS

Current or able to attain VPK certification and training, as required by the state

CDA preferred but not required

Experience teaching preschool or prekindergarten-aged children

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Strong understanding of early childhood development and classroom management

Employment is conditional upon the successful fulfillment of a Level II Background Screening and Safe Environment Training.
