Responsibilities

→Provide direct patient-care assistance under appropriate clinical supervision.
→Assist patients with activities of daily living and routine care.
→Support nursing personnel in delivering assigned patient care.
→Observe patients and communicate changes or concerns to nursing staff.
→Assist with patient mobility, positioning, transport and safety.
→Follow infection-control and patient-safety procedures.
→Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
→Follow VA policies, clinical procedures and standards of conduct.
→Complete required documentation and training.
→Maintain CPR and BLS certification throughout the assignment.

Requirements

Current CPR certification through an American Heart Association vendor.
Current Basic Life Support certification.
Minimum 6 months of direct patient-care experience within the previous 3 years.
Resume demonstrating education and professional qualifications appropriate to the position.
Ability to meet VA health, immunization, background and training requirements.
VA healthcare experience preferred
