We have an immediate need for a Field Operations Manager located in Odessa, TX.  If you are a dedicated Operations Professional with a proven track record of success in warehouse and maintenance management, we invite you to apply.  This is your opportunity to join a large growing company offering a competitive base salary and benefits. 

 

The Field Operations Manager’s primary objective is to provide safe, effective solutions to the customer in the most efficient, timely and cost-effective manner. This position will play a key role in fulfilling promises to their customers and in meeting those customers’ expectations. They are responsible for managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all warehouse, and maintenance services within the organization to deliver on customer requirements, particularly regarding production chemicals. This includes managing budgets, organizing schedules & warehouse ensuring that vehicles & equipment are safe, and meet legal requirements, as well as making sure that specialists are aware of their duties.

 

  • Directing all warehouse and maintenance activities
  • Managing monthly OPEX
  • Allocating and recording resources and movements
  • Account management
  • Working with MRP for inventory management
  • Ensuring all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations
  • Communicating effectively with clients and responding to their requirements
  • Collaborate in cross-functional projects within SLB/ChampionX, promoting the transfer of knowledge as well as the delivery of innovative processes and programs
  • Demonstrate flexibility by being able to adapt to constant shift in customers’ priorities due to the nature of the business and competitive environment
  • Managing 10-15 employees, on multiple shifts
  • Ensure the safety, security and training of all employees
  • Proactively audit warehouse specialists and mechanics to ensure they have learned and incorporated safe practices while conducting field work
  • Lead and shape team moral (employee satisfaction within team) and work with management to address any issues
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to articulate a vision for the direction of the group

 

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience working in Oil & Gas Services Industry
  • 3 years of experience working in a supervisory role
  • Must be willing/able to make field visits (10%)
  • Experience with SAP
  • High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal business systems 
  • Prior experience that demonstrates strong ethics, effective time management, ability to multitask, adaptability, autonomy and self-motivation
  • Prior experience that required excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Good negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • No immigration sponsorship offered for this role (US Only)

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Technology)
  • Knowledge of warehouse optimization
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks all with attention to fine detail
  • Experience with SAP
  • 10 years of experience working in Oil & Gas Services Industry
  • CSCP Certification, Lean Six Sigma Certification
