Chaparral Medical Group is seeking a Dermatology Physician to provide comprehensive care for conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails. The physician will diagnose and treat dermatologic conditions, including melanoma and other skin cancers, perform dermatological and cosmetic procedures (e.g., chemical peels, Botox, blue light therapy), and manage both acute and chronic skin diseases.
Responsibilities include examining patients, taking medical histories, prescribing medications, and ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests. The Dermatology Physician will also perform procedures such as biopsies, excisions, wound checks, and Mohs surgery (if fellowship-trained), while counseling patients on hygiene, skin care, and preventive health measures.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and an established referral network to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, supported by the Medical Director and aligned with clinical protocols and quality programs.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform dermatologic procedures, including but not limited to Botox, blue light therapy, biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy.
- →Document patient encounters, findings, and treatments accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- →Order and interpret diagnostic tests; coordinate consultations with other healthcare providers as needed.
- →Review test results and identify abnormal findings, ensuring timely follow-up.
- →Develop and implement individualized short- and long-term treatment plans.
- →Provide patient education, addressing concerns and promoting skin health, hygiene, and preventive care.
- →Collaborate with the care team to deliver services in compliance with clinic policies, CHDP, managed care, and other program guidelines.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution (required)
- Successful completion of ACGME accredited Dermatology residency
- Subspecialty fellowship training is welcomed and supported, though not required.
- Board-certified (or eligible) in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities
