The HVAC Technician is responsible for advanced maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across the facility. This role ensures compliance with safety, food quality, and operational standards while supporting continuous improvement in system reliability and efficiency.

  • Perform complex diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Install new HVAC units and replacement parts according to specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance to ensure compliance with SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) metrics.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and mentor junior technicians.
  • Maintain accurate records using CMMS and ensure timely reporting of maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) and FSQ (Food Safety and Quality) standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and energy efficiency programs.
    • Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and diagnostics.
    • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Familiarity with CMMS and digital maintenance tracking tools.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
    • Refrigeration R-410A Certification required.
    • Journeyman’s License in Refrigeration or Pipe Fitting preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a certified HVAC apprenticeship or technical training program.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance
  • Must be able to work in environments with exposure to temperature extremes, noise, and confined spaces.
  • Requires physical activity including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • May require overtime, weekend, or on-call shifts.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory in designated areas.
