Senior Software Engineering Manager
Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will work within a Scrum team to build the next generation of world-class EV technology products for our Core Services. You will focus on building advanced shared platform services that serve as the backbone for various product teams—including access control, identity & role management, license management, and accounts—all built on a cutting-edge technology stack. Embracing an AI-first engineering mindset, you will leverage generative AI tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development, improve code quality, and drive intelligent automation. Working closely with Product Owners and Product Managers, you will help design, implement, and integrate AI-powered capabilities into our shared platforms. We are looking for an adventurous, analytical, and solution-oriented self-starter who is eager to learn and innovate.
- →Collaborate closely with product management, program managers, and engineering managers in a cross-functional environment to define technical requirements and develop robust software designs.
- →Develop products from minimum viability to world-scale maturity in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all technical requirements are fully understood and implementation matches expectations.
- →Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical and developer community.
- →Promote engineering best practices across the team, including AI-first development methodologies and responsible AI usage.
Requirements
~3 min read- 5+ years of experience building back-end software.
- Strong foundation in CS fundamentals, including data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
- Working experience with modern software architecture components (e.g., Distributed Systems, Containerization, Microservices).
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) and popular databases.
- Solid understanding of an API-first approach, continuous integration (CI) applications, and monitoring/tracing tools.
- Familiarity with gRPC, Kubernetes, NoSQL, GraphQL, and Prometheus is a plus.
- AI-First & Generative AI Skills:
- Demonstrated habit of utilizing AI-assisted tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) for coding, debugging, code review, and documentation.
- Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, etc.) to build AI-powered features, including prompt design, context management, and output parsing.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering (system prompts, few-shot examples, chain-of-thought) and understanding of token budgeting, grounding, and hallucination mitigation.
- Ability to design AI-native APIs (structured outputs, tool/function definitions) and actively utilize Generative AI throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Personal/Leadership Attributes:

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to voice opinions, present clear rationale, and use data to influence decisions.
- Strong organizational alignment; able to connect personal/team goals to the broader organizational vision.
- Ability to break down complex problems, accurately estimate development time, and deliver high-quality work on time.
- A "multiplier mindset" and an AI-curious, self-directed learner who proactively experiments with new frameworks, evaluates new models, and brings relevant insights to elevate team performance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
