**Job Summary:**
As a Mental Health Counselor at our organization, you will provide outpatient clinical services in a supportive environment for individuals dealing with mental health and co-occurring challenges. Your role will involve using trauma-informed and person-centered approaches to help patients access care, achieve stability, and progress in their recovery journey.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and diagnostic assessments, including risk evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with a focus on recovery.
- Provide individual therapy using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.
- Offer crisis intervention and facilitate referrals to higher levels of care when necessary.
- Collaborate with medical providers, care teams, and community partners to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions.
- Connect patients with community resources related to housing, substance use treatment, and social services.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation following OMH and Article 31 standards.
- Meet productivity expectations while upholding quality and patient-centered care.
**Qualifications:**
- Must hold a license as an LMHC, LMSW, or LCSW (NYS permit holders are encouraged to apply).
- Ideally, have 3+ years of clinical experience, with expertise in trauma-informed care; EMDR experience is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment.
**Schedule & Physical Requirements:**
- The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and movement activities throughout the day.
- Some flexibility for evening or weekend availability may be required.
**Compensation:**
- Annual salary range between $52,000 and $58,000.
