Who We Are Seeking: We are seeking a compassionate, visionary, and experienced licensed behavioral health professional who is passionate about advancing recovery, wellness, and healing within Tribal communities. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with expertise in mental health and substance use treatment, clinical supervision, program development, and integrated care coordination. This individual will be comfortable building and enhancing programs, guiding staff, developing clinical protocols, and fostering strong partnerships across departments and community services. The successful candidate will embrace culturally grounded and trauma-informed approaches to care, demonstrate a commitment to supporting individuals and families on their recovery journeys, and possess the leadership skills needed to help shape and expand Chickaloon Native Village’s Recovery Services program. Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Behavioral Health, or a related clinical field.
- 5 to 7 years of behavioral health clinical experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain cooperative relationships and work successfully as a member of a team
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.
Certificates and Licenses: A valid Alaska Driver’s License is required for this position and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy. Must hold one of the following active Alaska clinical licenses: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD).
Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check: This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check as a condition of employment.
Hiring Preferences: As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples. CVTC also applies family and local hiring preferences.
