GENERAL NATURE OF WORK: This is unskilled work responsible in assisting with the day-to-day activities of the Golf Shop. An employee in this class reports directly to the Golf Professional and/or Director of Operations for daily instruction, schedule and general duties.
EQUIPMENT & JOB LOCATION: This position requires general knowledge of cash handling and customer relation skills. This person must have a general understanding of computer and phone use.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

- Understands and can effectively use all office related equipment and POS software programs.
- Has basic understanding of golf merchandise and the game of golf in general.
- Responsible for accurate daily cash deposits and receipts.
- Responsible for assuring Cart Attendant’s duties have been completed.
- Must be able to relate to all customers in a consistent and friendly manner.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand during work shift.
- Ability to perform physical functions, including ability to lift objects and / or materials short distances (weight up to 50 lbs.).
- Maintains a neat and sanitary work environment.
- Maintains personal hygiene to departmental standards.
- Follows all opening and closing duties.
- Communicates with management regarding issues with the golf shop and carts.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
- Operates equipment as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
DESIRABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- A high school diploma or the equivalent; or any combination of training and experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must maintain a valid Ohio Driver’s License.
- Ability to work other than normal working hours, and to work various shifts as necessary.
- Ability to be bonded.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain after employment CPR/First Aid Certification.
