This is a great opportunity for a Overnight Mobile Crisis Specialist to join our dynamic department in Tempe, AZ. The Crisis Specialist will provide direct service crisis intervention, transportation services, behavior management and referral services to individuals and families in crisis situations. Specialists may work independently or as part of a two-person team. This position will require an individual with skills in working in a high-paced environment in a Crisis setting. Wage Differential available.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field preferred. Or, Associate degree and a minimum of two years full-time behavioral health work experience. Or, High School Diploma/GED with four years of full-time behavioral health work experience.
  • Experience collaborating with community resources.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail Oriented and strong organization skills.
  • Able to be flexible with workload and availability,
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and cooperatively, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive working relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community and business partners.
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office. 
  • Must have active Fingerprint Clearance Card or be eligible to obtain one. 
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License, with no major infractions in the past three years is required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment. 
  • The typical work environment will be working indoors or community-based work, working out in the community.
  • Employees must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Occasional travel to training may occur as-needed
