About the Role
~1 min readForensics Associates are responsible for onsite and remote collection of electronically stored information (ESI) from computers, mobile devices, collaboration apps and cloud repositories. Using state-of-the-art technology, they process and analyze data in support of forensic investigations and litigation.
- In collaboration with senior team members, perform forensically sound collections of ESI from laptops, desktops, mobile devices, hard drives, servers and cloud data sources both onsite and remotely.
- Verify, extract and analyze data in support of investigations and litigation.
- Provide proactive status updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare remote collection kits for redeployment.
- Log and track evidence, update chain of custody logs, and follow evidence management best practices.
- Enter billable time and descriptions into billing system.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and experience.
- A person performing successfully in this role typically has at least two years of experience performing Digital Forensic collections and analysis.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to balance many priorities and to work under pressure while remaining calm.
- Ability to be a team player and to collaborate with the various teams across the Company.

- Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
- Duties may require being on-call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
- Duties will require occasional travel via automobile, airline, or other common passenger transport.
- Travel requirements are dependent upon project needs. Travel is typically 10-30%.
- Duties may occasionally be performed at a client’s facility.
- Duties may require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
