About the Role

Forensics Associates are responsible for onsite and remote collection of electronically stored information (ESI) from computers, mobile devices, collaboration apps and cloud repositories. Using state-of-the-art technology, they process and analyze data in support of forensic investigations and litigation.

In collaboration with senior team members, perform forensically sound collections of ESI from laptops, desktops, mobile devices, hard drives, servers and cloud data sources both onsite and remotely.
Verify, extract and analyze data in support of investigations and litigation.
Provide proactive status updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare remote collection kits for redeployment.
Log and track evidence, update chain of custody logs, and follow evidence management best practices.
Enter billable time and descriptions into billing system.
Perform other related duties as assigned

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and experience.
A person performing successfully in this role typically has at least two years of experience performing Digital Forensic collections and analysis.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to balance many priorities and to work under pressure while remaining calm.
Ability to be a team player and to collaborate with the various teams across the Company.

Duties are performed in a typical office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
Duties may require being on-call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
Duties will require occasional travel via automobile, airline, or other common passenger transport.
Travel requirements are dependent upon project needs. Travel is typically 10-30%.
Duties may occasionally be performed at a client’s facility.
Duties may require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
