An Intern Threat Intelligence Analyst with the assistance of the Senior Threat Intelligence Manager tracks, analyzes, and mitigates cyber threats to protect an organization's digital assets. This entry-level role focuses on gathering raw data about cybercriminals, analyzing malware trends, and turning that data into actionable alerts for security teams.
In this role, you will help monitor the threat landscape, analyze emerging cyber risks, and support the production of intelligence briefings. This position offers hands-on experience with real-world security tools, threat hunting methodologies, and incident response collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), commercial feeds, and dark web forums for emerging indicators of compromise (IOCs) and threat actor tactics.
- Analyze phishing campaigns and suspicious emails to identify infrastructure used by attackers.
- Document and track threat actors, malware families, and vulnerabilities affecting our industry.
- Assist with drafting weekly intelligence summaries and security advisories for internal technical teams and stakeholders.
- Assist with security automation by updating threat intelligence platforms (TIP) and security orchestration tools.
- Collaborate with the SOC (Security Operations Center) to triage alerts based on new threat data.
Education:
- Currently enrolled in college with an emphasis in crime analysis as a course of study, or equivalent military/law enforcement or professional intelligence training.
