Responsibilities

We're looking for an AI Business Operations Expert to join Clara Ops and architect a new era of how we run the company. This is a highly strategic, senior individual contributor role. You will be the visionary who spots where human effort can be optimized by machines—and then designs, deploys, and scales the enterprise-grade systems that make it happen. Sitting at the intersection of strategy, automation, and execution, you will work across leadership teams to eliminate friction, accelerate decisions, and raise the operational ceiling of Clara.

You will report to the Global Head of Operations and act as a strategic partner to senior leaders in Product, Sales, Finance, and Engineering. You will own the full automation lifecycle: identifying the opportunity, architecting the solution, deploying it with advanced AI tooling, and measuring the enterprise-wide impact.

  • Map complex, high-friction operational workflows across Clara and strategically prioritize them for AI augmentation, building a high-impact roadmap that compounds in value over time.

  • Lead the design, deployment, and iteration of advanced AI-powered workflows using N8N, Claude Code/Codex, and other LLM APIs to replace manual, error-prone processes and unlock new operational capabilities.

  • Collaborate with executive and operational leaders to implement agent-based or rule-based automation that drastically improves speed, accuracy, and capacity—scaling the business without linearly adding headcount.

  • Architect and maintain sophisticated operational dashboards in Metabase to surface critical KPIs and flag anomalies before they impact the business.

  • Partner with Product and Product Marketing to ensure seamless operational readiness for new feature launches, designing the automated processes that support them from day one.

  • Serve as Clara’s preeminent internal expert on AI operations—evaluating new technologies, establishing best practices, and building the definitive playbook on how we leverage AI for operational excellence.

  • Identify critical data gaps and collaborate closely with Engineering to design the instrumentation and Databricks pipelines needed to power advanced operational decisions.

  • Document architectures and processes comprehensively in Google Drive and Slack to ensure maintainability, scalability, and seamless cross-functional handoffs.

  • Lead and scale a "team of AIs"—maximizing an unlimited token budget to drive exponential output—rather than focusing on traditional people management.

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Requirements

~2 min read
  • Working proficiency in English and Spanish.

  • 7+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or a related field—ideally in a LatAm fintech, payments, or high-growth B2B SaaS company. A background at a top consulting firm (Bain/BCG/McKinsey) or high-velocity startup is highly valued.

  • Proven, expert-level AI automation track record. You have demonstrated experience architecting, scaling, and augmenting operations with AI at an enterprise level. This is not aspirational—we want to see complex, automated systems you've successfully shipped.

  • Advanced hands-on experience building automated workflows with platforms like N8N, Make, or Zapier—no-code and low-code fluency is a strict requirement.

  • Deep familiarity with enterprise systems of record, including CRMs like Hubspot or Salesforce, support triage (e.g., Zendesk), data warehouses (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), and BI platforms.

  • High comfort level working directly with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) to build advanced operational tools and agents, with the technical acumen to bridge the gap between business operations and engineering.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to query data in SQL or build complex visibility models in Metabase to drive executive decision-making.

  • A structured, strategic thinker with a strong bias for action: you break down ambiguous problems, make high-stakes decisions with incomplete data, and move fast while maintaining system integrity.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, seamlessly translating technical AI solutions into business terms for senior stakeholders and business needs into precise specs for engineers.

  • Proven role-specific execution in a fast-paced environment, showcasing your adaptability to fast-changing priorities.

  • An intrinsic passion for leveraging AI tools to automate workflows and redefine what is operationally possible.

Claridians in a hybrid mode split their time between working from the office, talking to or visiting customers, or working from home. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for each individual and team.

We don't enforce a minimum number of days for most roles, but you're expected to spend time at the office organically, and be at the office most days during your ramp-up or when required by your leader.
