We are currently seeking a Renovation Specialist to join our Capital Improvements team. In this role, you will support unit turnovers and various capital improvement projects across our portfolio of multi-unit residential communities. The successful candidate will be hands-on in completing renovation activities while also collaborating with third-party contractors to coordinate work, identify deficiencies, and ensure units are prepared for new residents.
Responsibilities
In addition to the duties typically expected of a renovation & maintenance professional, responsibilities will include;
- Install floor & wall ceramic tiles, including proper surface preparation.
- Install baseboards, quarter round moulding, and door casings.
- Perform minor drywall repairs and patching as required.
- Hang interior doors and install door hardware.
- Inspect newly finished walls for cleanliness, including removal of grime and residue.
- Assess and document deficiencies for reporting to contractors.
- Prepare renovated units for occupancy by completing final cleaning tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential renovations.
- Demonstrated ability to complete ceramic tile installations independently and to a high standard.
- Hands-on experience with finish work, including installation of baseboards, casings, doors, and hardware.
- Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.
- Must own basic hand tools required for day-to-day tasks; specialized tools and equipment will be provided by the employer.
- Driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
- Physically capable of performing routine manual tasks, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and extended periods of walking.
- Functional English verbal communication skills.

- All successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal record check and provide professional references as a condition of employment.
The expected hourly wage for this role is between $25 - $28 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined based on the successful candidates’ skills, experience, and other job-related requirements.
