Responsibilities

→Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G‑code and CAM software (e.g., CamWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM).
→Must be able to program CNC 3-axis and 5-axis mills using Cam software.
→Reading complex prints, designs, able to transfer in and out of CNC machines
→Work from drawings, sketches, specifications and verbal instructions to make parts.
→Must be able to navigate Solidworks well, while being able to design and edit models using Solidworks.
→Must be able to read G & M code.
→Must also be able to program and operate one or more of the following Specialty machines: CNC Grinder, High Speed Mills or Wire EDMs'.
→Must be capable and willing to train other machinists, showing them the proper way to use common shop Machine tools and inspection equipment
→Work to close tolerances
→Able to inspect own machined components using precision measuring instruments to check accuracy of work
→Setup machines for operation by others
→Keep work area and equipment clean
→Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
→Able to work independently on projects with little assistance.
→And other duties as assigned.
