Manufacturing Operations Manager - Barrett Paving Materials - Mid-West Central

Barrett Paving Materials is looking for a driven and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead our production operations with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and team development. In this role, you’ll oversee daily plant operations, optimize processes, and guide a skilled team to deliver high-quality materials that support critical infrastructure projects. • →Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing and plant operations
• →Ensure a strong commitment to safety-first practices and regulatory compliance
• →Oversee production scheduling to meet customer demand and operational goals
• →Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime
• →Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• →Supervise, coach, and develop a team of operators and plant personnel
• →Manage budgets, production metrics, and operational reporting
• →Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product standards are met
• →Partner with leadership to implement strategic operational improvements

• Proven experience in manufacturing or plant operations management
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments
• Ability to analyze data and make informed operational decisions
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus
• Familiarity with construction materials, asphalt, or paving operations is beneficial

• Ability to work in an industrial/plant environment, including exposure to weather and varying temperatures
• Standing, walking, and occasional lifting may be required
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or extended hours during peak season
