Job Description:

Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking a Truck Driver - Class 1 for our operations in Cranbrook, BC.

Responsibilities

→Must be licensed and able to safely operate a Class 1 Truck.
→Complete driving assignments in a timely and safe manner.
→Ability to work extended hours & irregular days with irregular breaks.
→Will be required to maintain necessary logs, driving records and DOT certifications.
→Complete daily pre and post trip inspections of vehicle.
→Complete all other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
→Perform a variety of tasks as needed or required when not delivering concrete.
→Must be willing to travel and work out town occasionally (Hotels/LOA provided) when required

Requirements

Ability to safely operate and perform daily inspections on trucks.
Some mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to back up efficiently and safely.
Knowledge of road construction procedures.
Knowledge of applicable safety legislation and ability to perform pre and post trip equipment checks and accurately complete driver log books.
Ability to identify safety hazards.

Pass an MVR Test
Experience operating a Class 1 truck in construction areas is preferred but not required.

Experience paving considered and asst
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $37-$39CAD per hour. The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
