As both courses are senior electives, these will be our most enthusiastic and committed young chemists, students excited to deepen the robust exploration that they began in our required 10th grade course.
The College Prep science program prioritizes rigor, critical thinking, and hands-on learning. Students are required to take Physics in 9th grade, Chemistry in 10th grade, and Biology in 11th grade. Nearly all of our students choose to take one or more science electives in 12th grade. Designed to prepare students for the depth and complexity of college-level courses, these include Anatomy and Physiology, Molecular Genetics, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Astronomy, Marine Biology, and Mechanics, Electricity, and Magnetism (among others).
Science teachers share a spacious, cozy, and convivial office where they regularly collaborate with one another and meet with students as needed.

Benefits include medical and dental coverage, a retirement plan (to which the school contributes regardless of employee contribution), and most pleasantly and collegially, a prepared lunch every day. College Prep is a community of life-long learners and actively encourages and supports the professional development of all of its members with a 100 thousand dollar budget.
