Learn more at www.confiemx.com Job Description: We are seeking a qualified EHS Legal Specialist to support environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance matters. This role will ensure adherence to applicable legal requirements, manage compliance risks, and oversee EHS-related legal processes and site-level obligations. Key Responsibilities Legal & Compliance Perform and support legal and compliance due diligence processes, identifying legal, contractual, and regulatory risks and proposing mitigation measures. Request, analyze, and validate legal documentation from third parties (vendors, contractors, partners) with whom the company has or intends to establish commercial, labor, or other relationships. Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, including requirements from STPS (Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social) and other applicable authorities. Support regulatory inspections, audits, and reporting obligations. EHS & Operational Support Coordinate and manage emergency drills and simulations (e.g., earthquakes, evacuations). Oversee building compliance and safety programs, including maintenance of safety standards. Support and coordinate internal brigades (e.g., seismic/emergency response teams). Manage EHS administrative and regulatory processes in CDMX (Mexico City), including permits and filings. Requirements Law degree (mandatory) – must be a licensed attorney. 2–3 years of experience in legal, compliance, or EHS-related roles. Intermediate to advanced English level (written and spoken). Experience with regulatory compliance, due diligence, and legal risk analysis. Knowledge of Mexican labor and EHS regulations, particularly STPS standards. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
