The Operations Risk Management (ORM) Analyst will support consulting engagements focused on identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across client organizations. The role involves being a part of risk assessments, mapping processes, analysing control effectiveness, and supporting implementation of risk frameworks, technology solutions, and remediation plans. Analysts will work closely with senior consultants and client stakeholders to deliver insights that enhance operational resilience, create impact and business performance.
Responsibilities
~1 min readConduct / support operational risk / gap assessments, including risk identification, rating, and prioritization across business processes plus prepare reports
Analyse internal controls, identify control gaps, and assess residual risk levels
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on risk indicators, incidents, operational KPIs, and emerging risk trends
Document end‑to‑end business processes using various tools
Evaluate existing control frameworks and recommend improvements to strengthen operational resilience
Support design of key controls, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and risk reduction methods
Analyse operational risk data, KRIs, loss events etc.
Develop dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
Prepare impactful client-ready presentations summarizing findings, insights, and recommendations
Assist consultants in planning and executing risk transformation projects
Participate in stakeholder meetings and workshops
Track and manage project deliverables, risks, and dependencies
Assist in implementing ORM frameworks aligned to industry standards
Conduct research on industry sectors, best practices, and emerging risk areas and compile POVs, case studies and reports providing desired insights
Requirements
~1 min readStrong understanding of risk management concepts, and operational risk frameworks
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas), PowerPoint, and data visualization tools
Experience with process mapping and risk management systems
Ability to analyse large datasets and convert findings into actionable insights
Ability to structure problems, analyse root causes, and develop practical recommendations
Strong research skills with the ability to interpret regulatory guidelines and industry standards
Comfort working on multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and client teams
Proactive, self-driven, and adaptable to changing priorities
Willingness to travel (75%) and be stationed at client locations
Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Additional Business Management qualification desirable
0 – 5 years of relevant experience (preferably in Operations, Risk Management, Audits, Data Analysis)
Consulting experience desired
Internships or project experience in ORM, compliance, will be an advantage
Proficiency in Power BI, Content Visualization, creating data insights, Excel etc. will be a plus
