Project Estimator - Construction

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to support the planning and execution of construction projects for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). The Project Estimator will be responsible for reviewing project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and stakeholders to evaluate project requirements, identify potential risks, and recommend cost-effective solutions that support successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of construction methods and industry standards, and experience using estimating software to prepare accurate project budgets. The Project Estimator must be able to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and deliver high-quality estimates within established deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Estimator in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in project estimation software and tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze construction project plans, specifications, and requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand construction project scope and objectives.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction materials, labor, and equipment.
• Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities for cost savings in construction projects.
• Present construction estimates to stakeholders and responds to inquiries.
