The Demand & IBP Leader – EMEA/APAC is a regional leadership role responsible for building, leading, and continuously improving the demand management and IBP capability across EMEA and APAC. The role owns the demand planning process, ensuring that market signals, commercial assumptions, portfolio priorities, pricing dynamics, and supply constraints are translated into a robust, transparent, and business-owned forecast. This role is not limited to statistical forecasting or process coordination. It is a critical commercial leadership role that connects Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Country teams to drive better decisions, earlier risk identification, and stronger business performance. The Demand & IBP Leader ensures that demand planning becomes a strategic management process: one that improves decision quality, supports commercial execution, protects key markets, enables scenario planning, and strengthens accountability across the business. Key Responsibilities ### Demand Management & Forecast Ownership ### ·Lead the regional demand planning process across EMEA and APAC, ensuring strong ownership, discipline, and transparency. ### ·Build and maintain a consistent demand planning framework across countries, crops, portfolios, and commercial teams. ### ·Translate market signals, customer behavior, pricing dynamics, campaign execution, competitive pressure, and portfolio priorities into demand assumptions. ### ·Ensure that the forecast is business-owned, clearly explained, and supported by quantified assumptions. ### ·Drive forecast quality through structured review of statistical models, commercial inputs, historical trends, outliers, and market intelligence. ### ·Ensure clear documentation of forecast assumptions, risks, opportunities, and decision points. ### IBP & S&OP Process Leadership ### ·Lead and improve the regional IBP and S&OP demand process as a core business management discipline. ### ·Ensure strong connection between Demand Review, Portfolio Review, Supply Review, Financial Reconciliation, and IR. ### ·Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales Effectiveness, and Product Management to align demand, supply, revenue, margin, and strategic priorities. ### ·Drive monthly demand reviews that are decision-oriented, not only reporting-oriented. ### ·Ensure key business trade-offs are clearly surfaced, including volume, value, margin, service level, inventory, carry-over, shortages, and market protection. ### ·Strengthen the link between short-term commercial execution and long-term strategic planning. ### Scenario Planning & Business Decision Support ### ·Build structured upside/downside demand scenarios to support business decisions. ### ·Identify early signals of demand deviation, over-selling, under-selling, supply risk, market shifts, or competitive pressure. ### ·Support leadership decisions on allocation, market prioritization, crop plans, carry-over, substitution, pricing, and commercial campaigns. ### ·Provide clear options, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior Marketing and Commercial leaders. ### ·Ensure IBP discussions move from “what happened” to “what should we do next.” ### ·Partner with Business Intelligence & Foresights to integrate demand signals into strategic outlooks and early-warning systems. ### Forecasting Analytics & Demand Intelligence ### ·Define and monitor demand planning KPIs, including forecast accuracy, bias, assumption quality, demand volatility, forecast value added, and scenario accuracy. ### ·Lead the use of statistical forecasting, time-series analysis, regression, smoothing models, and exception-based forecasting. ### ·Guide the Demand Analyst in building dashboards, scorecards, forecasting tools, and performance diagnostics. ### ·Improve forecast narratives by explaining what changed, why it changed, and what it means for business decisions. ### ·Ensure data governance, clean master data, consistent assumptions, and transparent links between demand plans and business performance. ### ·Build the foundation for advanced demand analytics and predictive planning. ### Cross-Functional Leadership ### ·Act as a trusted advisor to Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, and Country leadership. ### ·Facilitate cross-functional demand and IBP discussions with clarity, challenge, and discipline. ### ·Build alignment between Regional Portfolio Leaders, Sales Effectiveness, Country Marketing, Commercial teams, and Supply Chain. ### ·Challenge assumptions constructively and ensure that forecast inputs are evidence-based. ### ·Strengthen the demand management culture across the organization: one forecast, one set of assumptions, one business narrative. ### ·Ensure that demand planning supports commercial priorities and does not become a purely supply-driven or finance-driven process. ### Team Leadership & Capability Building ### ·Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4 Demand Managers and 1 Demand Analyst. ### ·Define clear roles, responsibilities, ownership areas, and ways of working within the demand management team. ### ·Build hard skills in forecasting analytics, data management, IBP process knowledge, and business acumen. ### ·Build soft skills in communication, critical thinking, collaboration, assertiveness, adaptability, and business storytelling. ### ·Establish a continuous improvement mindset across the team. ### ·Develop talent and create succession opportunities for future demand, IBP, marketing, commercial, and supply chain leadership roles.
