Junior Process Quality Engineer - MT

Essential Functions Performed by the Position:

• Working within the Quality team of the PAT Division.
• Support the Manager Quality Engineer on Continuous improvement activities.
• APQP elements of Job Planning and Job Closure.
• Creates and updates Process FMEAs as required while involvement in job-planning is necessary to focus on prevention mentality.
• Proactive Continuous improvement on processes and products through proper analysis of the data, making use of the right quality tools/brainstorming sessions with the team.
• Work with QE to create risk mitigation plans based on RPNs and come up with process improvements to reduce the RPNs
• Continuous improvements put in place following daily escalations and containment actions activities.
• Support in external customer complaints and be able to communicate outside the factory.
• Supports problem solving sessions on-line or off-line and drives a zero defects mentality.
• Be CBS Driven and supports in Floor Management System such as Gemba, Escalations, Daily Routines and TIPS when necessary.
• Interpretation of statistical data and come up with actions to improve BIQ costs.
• Developing and implementing quality control systems
• Support in the process qualification of new machinery
• Lead a team of process quality experts and quality controllers, responsible for maintaining the quality standard for the quality department.
• Assist with the development of audit plans for product and process audits

Divisional Authentication:

• Support the Divisional leadership team, executing the strategy for Authentication in terms of the core GRS and Brand Protection propositions
• Provide subject matter expertise to support effective decision making provide input as required to the annual strategic planning cycle
• Support and follow the governance and operational disciplines applicable across the division.

Position Qualifications:

Experience:

• Experience in a quality related function would be preferable.

Language Proficiency:

Fluent in English.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent in a related field
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing practices and lean processes
• Demonstrated competency in project management
• Excellent communication skills and a team player
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
