Process Quality Engineer Lead

Position Summary & Objective:

Validate that the manufactured products meet the quality standard agreed with the customer. Furthermore, develop quality systems and develop the product and process through continuous improvements activities, corrective, and preventive actions. Also, ensure that all personnel are trained against the respective quality standard.

Essential Functions Performed by the Position:

• Monitoring an analysing product quality performance through our standard APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process
• Developing and implementing quality control systems
• Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues
• Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
• Initiate Kaizen events, conduct quality system improvements and drive lean manufacturing principles on the shop floor
• Lead customer complaint investigations and communications
• Support in the process qualification of new machinery
• Support in Floor Management System such as Gemba, Escalations and Daily Routines
• Lead Job planning, Job Closure and FMEAs
• Lead a team of process quality experts and quality controllers, responsible for maintaining the quality standard for the quality department.
• Assist with the development of audit plans for product and process audits
• Use and follow CBS methodology within the department and the PA&T area.

Divisional Authentication:

• Support the Divisional leadership team, executing the strategy for Authentication in terms of the core Identification and Verification propositions
• Provide subject matter expertise to support effective decision making provide input as required to the annual strategic planning cycle
• Support and follow the governance and operational disciplines applicable across the division.

Position Qualifications:

Experience:

• 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in a quality related function would be preferable.

Language Proficiency:

Fluent in English.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent in a related field
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing practices and lean processes
• Demonstrated competency in project management
• Excellent communication skills and a team player
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
