The Product Designer owns the end-to-end user experience for various platforms and initiatives. Working alongside Product Owners and Technical Leads, this role translates complex operational, compliance and supply chain datasets into intuitive, visually engaging and highly interactive experiences that help users identify anomalies, trends, patterns and opportunities for action. The role operates at the intersection of Product, Engineering and User Experience, combining information design, visual storytelling and user-centered design practices to simplify highly complex business processes and data.

 

Responsibilities

  • →Lead UI and UX design across strategic platform initiatives.
  • →Partner with Product Owners, Engineers and stakeholders to understand problems and shape solutions.
  • →Design dashboards, workflows and visual analytics experiences that simplify complex data.
  • →Produce wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs where appropriate.
  • →Establish pragmatic design standards and reusable design systems.
  • →Drive usability testing and iterative improvement.
  • →Balance user value, technical constraints and delivery timelines.
  • →Champion accessibility, usability and responsive design best practices.
  • →Act as a trusted advisor to engineering and product leadership.
  • →Working across multiple initiatives at one time.

  • Occasional travel to other Crane Authentication sites in the UK

 

  • 5+ years in Product Design, UX Design or related discipline.
  • Experience designing enterprise, analytics or data-intensive software.
  • Strong experience with Figma or similar tools.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams in Agile environments.

 

  • Fluent in English

 

  • Exceptional information design and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complexity without oversimplifying the problem.
  • Pragmatic mindset focused on incremental delivery of value.
  • Self-reliant and comfortable operating with minimal direction.
  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation capabilities.
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and projects simultaneously, knowing when support is required an when to re-focus your attention elsewhere.
  • Primarily remote working environment
  • Participation in shift patterns or on-call rotation may be required.
