Maintenance Coordinator

Salary Compensation: The compensation range for this position is  $60,000 - $80,000 annually.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Utilizes the maintenance management system, in partnership and with direction of the Maintenance Manager, to plan and execute preventive maintenance activities and other planned work orders.
• Utilizes the maintenance management system to administer drop-in maintenance requests from the broader organization. Provides timely communication regarding status of maintenance requests back to the requestors. 
• Partners with Maintenance Manager and the Maintenance Team to identify parts needed for effective maintenance and repairs of production equipment to maximize machine uptime.
• Obtains quotes, places purchase requisitions, and ensures purchase orders are placed using the EDM system. Collaborates with management to plan the timing of expenditures in accordance with monthly / annual budgets.
• Develops and maintains successful business relationships with outside vendors for parts supplies and repair services for production equipment and building / facility related items.
• Develops and maintains successful working relationships with Crenlo purchasing, accounting, and other support departments.
• Supports the planning and execution of projects related to continuous improvement in production processes and building and grounds areas.
• Other duties as assigned. 

 

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 

• Ability to utilize the maintenance management system to prepare preventive maintenance work orders and drop-in work requests.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate at all levels of the organization. 
• Ability to utilize the EDM purchase req system, in partnership with purchasing and accounting.
• Problem prevention and problem-solving skills required. Must be solution oriented. 
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers in all departments, outside vendors, and management.  
• Proven ability to multitask with excellent time management skills. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate at all levels of the organization. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

• High school diploma required. Technical certification, two year or college degree preferred. 
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar maintenance organization is preferred.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER: 

• Work Hours/Status:  Mainly 1st shift hours with some overlap to 2nd shift for continuity. 
• Environment:  Office environment with frequent support in the production areas. PPE is required in the production areas. 
• Physical Requirements statement(s): Sitting/Standing, free to move around. Repetitive manual movements. 
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law, compliance, trends, new technologies and best practices in areas of responsibilities.
