About Elysée New York

Elysée New York is entering a new chapter as an intimate luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. The hotel blends the elegance of a historic New York residence with the warmth and cultural spirit of a European luxury hotel, delivering a guest experience built on genuine hospitality, considered detail, and quiet discretion. Elysée New York by Wunderkind Hotels is managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, one of North America's leading hospitality management companies.

Position Overview

Elysée New York is seeking a naturally curious, highly connected, and gracious Concierge to serve as a personal host, trusted advisor, and ambassador of the hotel. Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, this individual combines the sophistication of a luxury Concierge with the attentiveness and relationship-building of Guest Relations, translating Leading Quality Assurance and Forbes Five-Star standards into daily, guest-facing behavior.

Essential Job Functions

Concierge and Destination Expertise

  • Serve as the hotel's champion of knowledge for Salon Sanssouci, the neighborhood, the city, and the wider destination, exploring firsthand to evaluate new experiences.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends, new openings, and hidden gems, developing curated recommendations based on the individual guest rather than generic lists.
  • Remain informed on major city events, culture, and seasonal programming, so guests can be advised confidently across a wide range of interests and budgets.
  • Holds a well-established network of partnerships, providing access to exclusive insights, connections, and experiences beyond what is available through public resources.

Relationship Building and Partnerships

  • Establish direct relationships with restaurants, nightlife, cultural institutions, wellness providers, and transportation and experience providers, favoring direct contacts over third-party platforms.
  • Communicate regularly with partners to stay informed of new openings, exclusive offerings, and changes in availability or service.
  • Represent the hotel professionally within the local hospitality and luxury community, building relationships based on trust, discretion, and reciprocity.

Experience Curation

  • Design and curate personalized itineraries and experiences based on guest interests, preferences, occasion, and length of stay.
  • Arrange hard-to-secure reservations, special access, and personalized activities, collaborating across hotel departments for a seamless experience.
  • Identify opportunities to surprise and delight guests, continuously refreshing recommendations across guest types and interests.

Hotel Knowledge and Internal Partnership

  • Maintain expert knowledge of all hotel outlets, amenities, and operational procedures, including Salon Sanssouci.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments and partners to ensure a seamless guest journey.
  • Ensure the team knows the history, character, stories, and house vocabulary of Elysée New York and Salon Sanssouci, and shares them naturally with guests.

Brand Partnerships and Neighborhood Support

  • Champion key brand and neighborhood partnerships, such as Hampton BioMed, introducing them to guests naturally rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Stay fluent in what each partner offers so a recommendation feels like insider access, not a referral pulled from a list.
  • Treat partners as an extension of the hotel's own hospitality, with the same warmth, discretion, and follow-through guests expect from Elysée New York.
  • Flag opportunities to deepen or expand partnerships to hotel leadership, based on direct guest feedback.

The Elysée Concierge Mindset

  • Be Curious. Always discovering what just opened, what is next, and where the city is going.
  • Be Connected. Build genuine relationships that create exceptional experiences for our guests.
  • Be Personal. A recommendation should feel selected for the guest, not pulled from a list.
  • Be Present. Guests should feel looked after, not simply answered.
  • Be Resourceful. When the answer is not immediately available, find it.
  • Be a Host. Welcome guests into the hotel and the city as though into your own home.
  • Be Discreet. Protect guest privacy and exercise impeccable judgment, particularly with VIPs.
  • Be an Ambassador. Every interaction represents the personality and standards of the hotel.

Required Skills and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a naturally warm, polished presence.
  • Strong knowledge of the local destination and genuine enthusiasm for discovering what is new.
  • An established or developing network within the city's hospitality, culinary, and cultural communities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple guest requests at once.
  • Confidence with high-profile, international clientele, strong discretion, and the ability to take ownership of the guest experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a similar luxury Concierge, Guest Relations, VIP Services, Front Office, or Lifestyle Management role.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within a Leading Quality Assurance and/or Forbes Five-Star service standards environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Les Clefs d'Or membership or eligibility is a plus.
  • Experience within the New York City luxury hospitality market, or with a luxury boutique or independent luxury property.
  • Experience opening, reopening, repositioning, or launching a hotel or new hospitality concept.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary, benefits package, 401(k) eligibility, professional development opportunities, and hotel travel benefits available through eligible programs.

Success in This Role Looks Like

A successful Concierge is the person guests know to call when they want to experience the city differently, someone who knows the hotel, the city, and the right people intimately, and who, above all, knows their guests. The goal is for a guest to leave feeling that the Concierge did not simply tell them where to go but knew exactly where they would love to be.

Why Join Elysée New York

Joining Elysée New York is an opportunity to help shape the re-emergence of a legendary New York hotel and to build a new standard of intimate, personalized luxury hospitality. The Concierge will help define the guest experience from its earliest days, on a platform toward future senior Guest Relations, Front Office, or hotel leadership opportunities. We invite candidates who believe that luxury is defined not by formality alone, but by generosity, discretion, and the ability to make every guest feel genuinely seen.
