Landscape Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement landscape plans for outdoor areas on the cruise ship, including decks, pool areas, and other public spaces

- Select and maintain plants, flowers, and other greenery to ensure a vibrant and well-maintained appearance

- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering and drainage

- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as pruning, weeding, and fertilizing to keep the landscape looking its best

- Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute seasonal displays and decorations

- Ensure all landscape equipment and tools are properly maintained and in good working condition

- Monitor and control pests and diseases, taking appropriate measures to prevent and treat any issues

- Assist with the setup and breakdown of outdoor events and activities

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures

- Communicate with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing information and answering any questions regarding the landscape and outdoor areas

- Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance the landscape and outdoor spaces to exceed guest expectations

Requirements:

- Proven experience in landscaping or horticulture, preferably in a hospitality or cruise ship setting

- Knowledge of plants, flowers, and trees, including their care and maintenance

- Ability to design and implement landscape plans, considering factors such as climate and space limitations

- Skilled in operating and maintaining landscape equipment and tools

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a TWIC card
