Responsibilities

- →Clinical review of incoming medical records documenting communication with ordering providers and PCP.
- →Coordination of care- corresponding with veteran, community providers, internal providers/nurses, and admin staff to ensure the care and authorization.
- →The position requires independent judgment and nursing actions, flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to utilize an interdisciplinary approach in the provision of nursing care.
- →The RN is subject to the professional direction of the VA Nurse Manager or designee during the workweek.
Requirements

- Proof of US Citizenship is required to work on this contract.
- Education:
- Graduated from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Current BLS certifications.
- Required Knowledge/Experience:
- Possess a current and unrestricted license in at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.
- A minimum of two (2) years direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
- Work Schedule:
- 0730 – 1600, Monday-Friday, excluding holidays, weekends/evenings, and no overtime on call.
